You've probably heard the term "quiet quitting" going around lately. But now bosses have their own term for turning the tables on that trend.

"Quiet firing" isn't a new thing, but the term is in response to the "quiet quitting" phenomenon. It's where your boss doesn't like you or wants you gone for whatever reason, so they make your life as miserable as possible to try to get you to ACTUALLY quit.

1. They begin micromanaging you. Obviously this is a personal hell for most people.

2. They stop involving you. Being left out of the loop on things, or just not engaged as much, is really frustrating but probably a sign of trouble.

3. They use passive-aggressive tactics like unrelenting criticism, humiliating you in front of your colleagues, nagging, fault finding, blocking you from career advancement, and making senior management see you in a lesser light.
