The very first thing I was told I needed to use was a facial cleanser that produced suds to wash away the dirt from my face. So if you're not sure where to even start with your skincare routine, I'm telling you now that this is what you should start with and this particular cleanser is my recommendation.
There are so many different types of cleansers on the market, but I always use this one because it creates suds to get the dirt and oil off my face and it also seems to be compatible with my skin. It's literally just the Target brand version of Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. There's really no difference other than the price (the Up & Up version I use is cheaper.)
Use one to two pumps on a wet washcloth, and scrub the cloth with your fingers until there are bubbles. Then wash your face however you would.
If your skin isn't used to salicylic acid, it may peel and dry up when you first start using this. That's because salicylic acid is an exfoliator commonly used in acne products. Be careful not to scrub too harshly, and make sure you rinse all of it away to prevent too much irritation.
Find it at Target or online here.
