Due to the tragedy, many require help as they will face days, and possibly weeks, without power or even shelter.

The National Hurricane Center confirmed that Hurricane Ida made landfall on Sunday as a category four storm with winds reaching 150 mph. Winds were so intense that they caused many toppled trees and ripped roofs off buildings across the state.

If you would like to help those in Louisiana or surrounding areas, People reported several organizations that are assisting those affected by Hurricane Ida.
