Boomer Esiason is now Team FanDuel!
As announced by Gregg Giannotti on the Boomer & Gio Show on Monday morning, Boomer has joined Gio as a brand ambassador for FanDuel, making both hosts of WFAN’s morning show part of Team FanDuel.
“Boomer looked at me and said, ‘hmm, this guy is winning the picks, he’s a football guy, I wanna be a FanDuel guy!’ So, welcome Boomer Esiason to the FanDuel team!” Gio said during the announcement, ostensibly crowing about his second straight win in the Morning Show NFL Picks race. “But I joined your team when I joined this show, and now, you’re joining my team!”
“So now I’m on equal footing – the last two years, your picks have been great, and I’m a little embarrassed,” Boomer shot back.
Gio credited FanDuel for helping him win two straight picks contests, as it is the premier destination for sports fans online. In 2009, FanDuel reimagined the concept of fantasy sports, giving fans the ability to play one-day fantasy sports for real cash prizes; they then launched their now No. 1 online sportsbook in 2018, including the FanDuel Sportsbook inside the Victory Sports Bar at the Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment Complex in East Rutherford, N.J.
Now, both Boomer and Gio are Team FanDuel!
“It’s a huge partnership for us and the show, and I’m even going to have one of the bigwigs call in tomorrow, because I’m tight with them like that,” Gio crowed.
“I actually think it’s going to be good for us, our listeners, and the show, and that’s what is important to me,” Boomer added.
