Congratulations to Gregg Giannotti, Marc Malusis, Evan Roberts, and John Jastremski – the four regular-season winners of our four season-long NFL Picks competitions!
Gio cemented his Morning Show win in Week 16, as the entire crew was off for most (if not all) of last week and did not make picks, so here are the final standings (including Al’s Parlay):
Gio: 43-37
Boomer: 35-45
Jerry: 31-49
Al: 22-62-1 (2-3, 0-17)
In the Midday Picks race, Moose held on with a 2-1 Week 17, edging out Brian Monzo based on wins; if this were the NFL, Monz’s four pushes may have been the duke (at a half-win for a push, Monz would have 26 wins to Moose’s 25.5), but in our world, wins matter, baby.
Moose: 25-25-1 (2-1)
Monzo: 24-23-4 (2-1)
Maggie: 21-29-1 (0-3)
Evan Roberts, meanwhile, beat Joe Benigno 15-12 in their nine weeks together and was 14-10 in his new format on the new Carton & Roberts Show, and C&R producers Tommy Lugauer and Chris McMonigle tied at 4-4 in the picks they made there, leaving no "second winner."
That leaves JJ After Dark, and indeed, with a 4-1 Week 17 against a 2-3 week for Harris Allen, it was John Jastremski who took a two-game victory over The Maestro!
JJ: 43-40-2 (4-1)
The Maestro: 41-42-2 (2-3)
Fleegs: 38-45-2 (4-1)
Hoff: 10-8 in limited duty (3-2)
Rosenberg: 19-25-1 in limited duty (2-3)
NFL Picks may or may not continue throughout the playoffs on all four shows…so you’re just going to have to listen to find out!
