Visiting the happiest place on earth is about to get a little easier.
Disneyland has had temperature checks in place for guests and park employees since reopening on April 30th, but they have announced they will stop them as of June 15th, the date the California economy is fully set to reopen and many health protocols will be lifted.
Earlier this week, Disneyland was allowed to increase capacity to 35% as Orange County moved into the state's yellow tier. Capacity is expected to increase again after June 15th as well. The park is yet to comment on when or if they will increase capacity.
Walt Disney World did away with temperature checks in May after having them since reopening in July 2020.
Meanwhile, Disneyland has not commented yet on how their mask policy may or may not change, CBS Los Angeles reports.
The change comes as California state health director Dr. Mark Ghaly said that increased vaccinations means the state can remove nearly all restrictions next month.
"Something very important happens on June 15th in California," Ghaly said. "We are now at a point, given our metrics that we've been watching, that California is at a place where we can begin to talk about moving beyond the blueprint."
