Playing Deadpool has nothing on singing a song from “Annie” dressed as a unicorn on television.

Appearing on “TODAY” recently to promote his upcoming musical version of “A Christmas Carol” called “Spirited,” Ryan Reynolds recalled his not so fun experience appearing on Korean television's version of “The Masked Singer.”

“I’ve been doing this job a long time, and when you go on these international tours, you start to say, ‘What’s the weirdest show we can go on?””

Whle promoting “Deadpool 2” in 2018, Reynolds was asked about doing the show, before it had debuted in the United States. “At the time, no Westerner had been on that show before, so it was a big surprise when I lost the mask.”

Hitting the stage as a unicorn, Reynolds performed the song “Tomorrow” from the musical “Annie.” He did not not enjoy his time on the show.

“What’s crazy is, I was in actual hell. When I was there, I was like, ‘Why did I sign up to do this? This is horrible! This is truly horrible!’” He said. “I don’t even know this song, I don’t know how to do this. It was traumatic.”

“The Masked Singer” eventually debuted in the United States in 2019.

Reynolds and Will Ferrell’s “Spirited” will be available on Apple TV+ starting Nov. 18.
