And now, thanks to The Shade Room we have a behind-the-scenes look at the moment behind the photograph.
In the video posted earlier Tuesday, Saweetie is seen approaching an interviewer on the red carpet. Harlow approached Saweetie mid sentence, took her by the hand, introduced himself, and said, “You don’t like getting caught off guard.” To which Saweetie responds by asking why he’s “shaking.”
After Jack clarifies that “nobody’s shaking,” Saweetie was asked what we’re all dying to know, if she thought Jack was “shooting his shot” with her. “I don’t know," she professed, “but y’all better not be messy with this s***.” Sorry Saweetie, too late, the internet did its thang.
Harlow later spoke to the same interview and when asked he assured her the interaction was only “a friend vibe,” as seen in the video TSR shared about 4 hours after that first one hit the web.
In the clip he explained that he didn’t think there was anything going on outside of just “saying hello.” Adding, “You can’t say hello these days, I guess,” which he saw no issue in doing while proclaiming he’s a “nice person.” So the interviewer got blatant, and we lover her for it, asking if he ever would, y’know shoot his shot, to which he answered no, saying, “that’s a friend… That’s a friend vibe.”
If that’s what you say Jack… But you know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand of those. And that video, that’s definitely worth a million at least.
