LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KNX) – Jimmy Kimmel announced Monday he tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our daughter brought us covid (even though we specifically asked her not to),” the host of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ said on Twitter. “All feeling fine, I am double vaxxed and boosted but the show must not go on.”

Although Monday night’s show was cancelled, Kimmel said comedian Mike Birbiglia will be filling for him beginning Tuesday night.
Birbiglia responded to Kimmel’s tweet saying he found out about the gig while deboarding a plane.
“I must be the first person to ever deplane a Southwest Airlines flight and find out they’re guest-hosting a late night talk show,” he said. “Sending love to the Kimmels. See you on the TV tomorrow, friends.”
Monday’s episode was supposed to feature Tom Cruise and comedian Iliza Shlesinger, as well as musical guesy Parquet Courts.
