‘It’s just another brick out of your backpack’

As a singer-songwriter, Mom, and touring musician, Elle King, has a lot on her plate. Balancing it all and maintaining a positive mental health space surely poses a challenge, which King says she combats with communication.

“I think it’s important to talk about it because the more you talk about things, I think it removes some of the intensity and the power of staying in the silence and the struggle of it,” King shared of how she tends to her own mental health. “The more you talk about things, it’s just another brick out of your backpack.”

She continued, “You never know who is also going through something similar to you, you can find community.”
