“I go to the dentist every 20 years,” he laughed, showing off his new set of veneers. “I just went, I’ll go again in another two decades.”
While Jelly is all smiles about the experience now, his wife, Bunnie, documented his dental journey over the last few months with up-close videos of Jelly at the dentist and getting his new set of teeth. “I don’t watch [the videos] back,” he said when asked about the intensity of the work. “Tooth work freaks me out, that’s why I get under heavy anesthesia. I don’t remember like, three weeks of my whole life in March,” he laughed.
The 39-year-old has lots of reasons to show off his new pearly whites these days as he continues to see monstrous success and momentum that he’s taking right into his second Country album, which he shared is currently in the works.
“I feel like the CMTs was the end of the Whitsitt Chapel era,” he said referring to the award show that took place April 7 where he took home 3 awards. “I performed ‘Need A Favor,’ there for the first time [in 2023] which was the beginning of the Whitsitt Chapel era, then I performed ‘Halfway To Hell’ [in 2024], which is my last single off the Whitsitt Chapel album. New music is on the horizon.”
While he is keeping details surrounding new music under wraps, he did share there are a number of features with artists in and out of the Country genre. “I got some features,” he disclosed. “I [collaborated] with some crazy people in and out of genre. I reached,” he laughed. “I ain’t got no shame, I’ll shoot my shot.”
