Always one to take it to the next level, Audacy LAUNCH artist, Kassi Ashton, has revealed that curating and hosting her own Audacy station, Kassi Ashton's Chrome Horse Radio, helped inspire her latest single, "Ride Or Die Radio."

Last week Ashton joined us in Brooklyn, NY for our annual Leading Ladies event, taking the stage with Gwen Stefani, Lainey Wilson, Alessia Cara, and Haven Madison to play stripped down hits and trade empowering stories and appreciation with each other. It was another amazing moment with the "Called Crazy" singer, which Audacy highlighted in 2024 as "music you should know" and a LAUNCH artist.
In fact, we love Kassi Ashton so much we asked her to handpick and host her own station, Kassi Ashton's Chrome Horse Radio. Filled with artists that inspire her and peers she can't stop listening to, it's a must listen. And as it turns out, it also served as inspiration for Kassi's latest release, "Ride Or Die Radio."
"Choosing a name for my Audacy launch station last year is what initially inspired Ride Or Die Radio," Ashton revealed in a caption this week on IG as the singer walked our Leading Ladies red carpet. "Honored to be one of their Leading Ladies."
The song is set to be featured on the deluxe edition release of Ashton's debut album, Made From The Dirt. "I'm putting out a deluxe because the first album wasn't supposed to be 10 songs," Kassi told Katie Neal in the Terra Origin Interview Lounge. "They told me I could put as many songs as I wanted to. So I picked 13 songs. And then they were like, 'just kidding, you have to do 10.' And I was like, 'but these songs are so important to me.' So when I got the option to make a deluxe, I was like, obviously that three, and I want two more."
"The movement of the first album was, 'Hey, I was made from crap. and from struggle.' This was not a silver spoon type of situation. This was not an easy breezy A to B straight line. And look, it's been fruitful. And we're going to keep going, and we're going to keep growing, but we're also not going to forget, you know, how to pivot and where we came from."
Made From The Dirt: The Blooms arrives everywhere on April 25.
