Disney+ continues to add to its “Star Wars” content library, announcing Monday that filming begins in April for its upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series.
Set ten years after the events in "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith," the show will follow the story of what happened after Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi witnessed the downfall and corruption of his former pupil and best friend, Anakin Skywalker, to the Dark Side.
According to a press release from Disney+, Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen will also return to the “Star Wars” universe as the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, who played Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in the “Star Wars” prequels, will return to their previous roles as well.
