Peeps are getting the big-screen treatment!

The famed Easter candy is being turned into an animated film, according to Deadline.

The outlet reports that Wonder Street has acquired both film and TV rights to the fluffy, marshmallow candy.

Wonder Street's Christine and Mark Holder, who recently worked on the legal drama “The Mauritanian,” are set to produce.

The kid-friendly film will embrace a “Trolls”-meets-”Smurfs” vibe.

It will reportedly “follow a ragtag group of Peeps characters who set out on a cross-country journey in order to attend Peepsfest, an annual brand celebration in Pennsylvania.”

David Goldblum is penning the script, per the outlet.

For those unfamiliar with Peeps, the Easter candy is shaped into chicks, bunnies, and other animals depending on the holiday.

According to WalletHub, 23 flavors of Peeps were available this Easter. A total of 5.5 million Peeps are produced each day with more than 1.5 billion consumed each Easter.

“Peeps Chicks and Bunnies have been ingrained in American pop culture for nearly seven decades due to their instantly recognizable shapes and fan-favorite marshmallow taste, making them the perfect characters to bring to life on the big screen,” said Keith Domalewski, Director of Marketing & Consumer Engagement at Just Born. “We hope the new Peeps film spreads sweetness to families across the country and provides inspiration for fans to express their ‘Peepsonality’ in new ways.”

The Peeps-craze was in full-swing this Easter season.

The candy expanded with a collection far beyond edible treats with the launch of makeup products with HipDot, a makeup company.

Peeps also teamed up with Pepsi for a limited edition cola that “combines the crisp, refreshing taste of PEPSI cola with the pillowy-soft and sweet PEEPS Marshmallow flavor consumers love.”

And 7-Eleven even debuted a Peeps-flavored latte that’s described as a “rich, sweet coffee treat.”

Peeps are simply dominating the world… and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
