Celebrity encounters are always exciting; despite usually being brief and one sided. For the most part, these moments are cherished by the person, but quickly forgotten by the celebrity. However, once the internet gets involved, these moments tend to live on forever. That was the case for Adam Sandler, who was recently in a viral video being turned away from an IHOP, and now the comedian has responded in the only way he knows how.
As seen in the clip that went viral last week, an IHOP employee shares her disappointment in not realizing she turned a man away from the restaurant, not realizing it was Adam Sandler. According to the woman, she told Sandler there was a 30 minute waiting, leading the actor to leave. However, according to Fox News, Sandler gave a different reason for why he left.
“For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes,” Sandler tweeted recently, referencing the viral video. Many online loved his response, though some say he still should have waited it out. Hopefully next time he visits IHOP, they will have a milkshake ready for him.
