We all know the series Dallas took place on Southfork Ranch in the fictional Braddock County of Dallas, TX, but the series’ production took the show all across North Texas to film.

One of the sites where filming for the show’s first season was Frisco’s historic Brinkmann Ranch.

Brinkmann Ranch no longer sees any activity from the Ewing family, and instead has become the site for a new apartment complex!

Per the Dallas Morning News, apartment developer Trammell Crow Residential will soon finish the first and second phases of construction in September, with the third phase slated to begin in October.

In the ‘70s, the ranch was used as a filming location for the first season of Dallas.  At the time, the ranch at that time was owned by oilman, entrepreneur and former NFL star Cloyce Box.
