Over the last decade, the NFL has made it a point to increase their international presence by playing several games overseas, including games in London, Brazil, and Germany, amongst others.

This year, the NFL will be heading to Paris for the first time.

This season they will also be heading for a game in Mexico, and the Cowboys are rumored to be one of the favorites to participate.

Per the Dallas Morning News, towards the end of last season, Jerry Jones commented on his desire for the Cowboys to play in Mexico, citing that a large percentage of their fan base is from Mexico.

The NFL also added that Mexico is its largest fan base outside of the U.S. In fact, in 1998, the league opened an office in Mexico City.

The last time the Cowboys played internationally was in 2014, when the Cowboys beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-17 in London.
