The police no longer have to be present to catch you committing a crime!

Investigators with the Dallas Police Department will soon be using facial recognition technology to catch people suspected of crimes.

According to NBC DFW, the DPD will be utilizing a program called ClearView AI, which searches the internet for billions of pictures, including those on social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and then uses artificial intelligence to identify people police are looking for.

Chief Eddie Garcia expects DPD to roll out the program in six months.  "I think this will be a game changer," he said.
