New York is undoubtedly the bagel capital of the world.
The Big Apple needs to watch out though, as North Texas is staking its claim as one of the best bagel spots in the nation and is looking to schmear the competition away.
Dallas’ Starship Bagel just took home the first-place prize for “Best Bagel” at New York BagelFest 2025!
Per WFAA, competitors from 13 states and three other countries gathered in New York from the event and just like the past two years, Starship Bagel was the only representative from Texas, where they took home the top prize.
Owner Oren Salomon started Starship in 2021 in Lewisville and has expanded into three locations, including spots in North Dallas and Downtown Dallas.
