The ocean is full of surprises, which is why some people avoid the deep water at all cost. However, one woman recently got the ocean experience of a lifetime while free-diving in Tahiti. The woman came up close and personal with a whale calf, colliding with it while underwater.

As seen in the clip that recently went viral, a woman is swimming in the ocean with her head above water when a whale begins to approach her. According to Fox News, Yanna Xian had her head above the surface to clean her goggles when the two-week-old calf swam right up to her. “This one may have not seen Yanna which is why it reared its head before touching her. As it was swimming away was the time I realized we had just created a life memory,” said Mitch Brown, who captured the underwater moment.

Luckily for the two, they had free-diving and whale experience, so the encounter was all positive. Eventually the whale swam away, leaving Xian unharmed. Sadly for Xian, no ocean experience will be able to top swimming with a whale.
