A pet running away from home can be devastating for its owners. Luckily for one family in China, their dog was recently returned after running away, but not before going on an epic quest in an attempt to find its way back home. The golden retriever was spotted outside an office building, where it was discovered the dog had walked 62 miles over two weeks looking for its way home.
According to the family, they had dropped their dog off with a friend while they were renovating their home. However, they were saddened to learn four months later their dog had run away. They thought their beloved pet was gone forever, but it turns out it was just trying to find its way back home.
The golden retriever was eventually spotted outside an office building in Qidong city, over 60 miles from where they dropped their dog off. The workers that spotted the dog were able to reunite it with its owners. Though the dog was a bit injured from its journey, everyone was happy to see it safely returned home.
