It's appropriate the Rangers are opening their 2025 season against the Boston Red Sox because in Bells, TX, about 70 miles north of Dallas, the Newton family has constructed their own "field of dreams" replicating the home of the Rangers' opponent.

In their front yard, the Newtons have constructed a wiffle ball stadium with that replicates the "Green Monster" at Fenway Park.

Lana Newton told NBC DFW, "A miniature Fenway seemed really cool.  When you think of an iconic stadium, you have to do it right."

The Newtons wanted give back to high school students in the community.  "Our lives are richer because of this place," Lana said. "Sometimes you hear the Lord say 'Do this' and you doubt, when I see the kids and touch the turf and the Green Monster, I did hear him right. This is confirmation."
