Anytime a new Batman franchise is being made, the first thing they have to decide is if they will make the character serious, like the more recent portrayals, or full of humor, like the original Batman series from the 1960s. The latest version seems to lean more towards the serious side, but one fan recently took it upon them to add some humor to the film. Taking the latest trailer of 'The Batman,' the fan added scenes with Jim Carrey's the Riddler to add a few laughs to the intense preview.

While Paul Dano will be portraying the Riddler in director Matt Reeves' upcoming film, 'The Batman,' many fans can't help but think of Jim Carrey when it comes to the role. Carrey played the iconic Batman villain in 1995's 'Batman Forever,' but his version of the character wasn't nearly as serious as the current portrayal. That's why one fan decided to add Carrey's character to the latest trailer, adding some laughs to the film.
Since being shared, the parody trailer has received thousands of likes and hundreds of retweets. According to Cinema Blend, 'The Batman' is expected to hit theaters in March. Just don't expect to actually see Jim Carrey's Riddler in the film.
