When choosing an ice cream flavor, there is seemingly an endless list of combinations to select from. Still, when looking for the perfect comfort food to end the day with, it seems most like to keep things simple and stick with the classics. Häagen-Dazs recently revealed America's favorite ice cream flavor for 2020, and to the surprise of many the top choice was vanilla.
With many flavors to choose from, Häagen-Dazs claims their customers often went with the simple choice when choosing ice cream. Following Vanilla on the list were two other basic flavors; coffee and strawberry, according to the ice cream brand's report. Of course, some were more daring with their choices as Häagen-Dazs' vanilla milk chocolate almond bar took the fourth spot and butter pecan rounded out the top five.
While some were shocked by the simplicity of the choices, others agreed when it comes to ice cream; the classic vanilla can't be beat. Many credited the flavors ability to be added to other sweets, like apple pie, as their reasoning for picking vanilla. It may be simple, but clearly it gets the job done.
