Jason Garrett spent almost a decade as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, and now we wonder how much of that time was studying Italian cuisine instead of opponent's defenses.
Coach Garrett, alongside former Cowboys quarterback Babe Laufenberg, and restaurateur Julian Barsotti will be opening Caffe Lucca, an Italian restaurant in Highland Park sometime in 2024.
The duo named the restaurant after Laufenberg's son Luke, who passed away in 2019 from a rare form of blood cancer.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Caffe Lucca will be an all-day café with breakfast, lunch, cocktails, and dinner, and most likely along with Italian specialties to go like house-made ricotta and meatballs.
Caffe Lucca is expected to open at 4212 Oak Lawn Ave. in mid-2024.
