Mega Millions jackpot up to $565 million ahead of Tuesday drawing

The prize is currently the sixth-largest in Mega Millions history

For many, the holiday season is the happiest time of the year. Of course, that usually ends the moment it’s over and they get to see how much their fun cost. Luckily for one person, they may win the chance to get all those spending’s back and then some, as the Mega Millions jackpot is approaching a record amount.

On Friday, Mega Millions held a drawing that didn’t have a winner, bringing the jackpot total up to $565 million. The next drawing is Tuesday night, according to CBS DFW. If a winner is selected on Tuesday, they will receive the sixth-largest prize in Mega Millions history.

The last Mega Millions winner was back in October, when two winners in California and Florida shared a $502 million prize. If no winner is selected on Tuesday, the next drawing will be held on Friday for an even bigger prize. Soon, someone won’t be complaining so much about the cost of the holidays.
