Residents of Dallas were treated to what they thought was a meteor shower Saturday evening.
As cool a site this was to see, and despite a ton of videos going viral online, a meteor shower this was not.
According to WFAA's weather team, this was not a meteor shower but more likely a piece of space debris breaking up in the earth's atmosphere.
And in fact, the debris was most likely part of what NASA likes to refer to as the "World's largest garbage dump."
