It may be fall, but brands all over the country are starting to tease their specialty items for the holiday season. While plenty have already shared new eggnog or hot chocolate flavored items, Mountain Dew decided to use another holiday treat for their winter release. This year, Mountain Dew will sell a fruitcake flavored soda for Christmas.
While Mountain Dew is yet to announce their holiday season fruitcake soda, some customers have been lucky enough to spot them at stores, getting a sneak preview of the drink. Called “MTN DEW Fruit Quake,” the new soda has received mixed reviews thus far, with one customer claiming it “tasted how Michaels craft stores smell.”
According to Bro Bible, this is not the first time Mountain Dew has released a specialty holiday flavor. Last year, they went viral after releasing a mystery “VooDoo” option for Halloween. Now fans will just have to wait and see what the soda brand comes up with next.
