Everyone experiences stress at one time or another. Some just happen to deal with it better than others. Luckily for those in Texas that struggle dealing with stress, they can now blame their state for all their problems, as new study recently ranked Texas as one of the most stressed out states in the country.
Personal finance website WalletHub recently conducted a survey to find the most stressed out states in the country. Using 41 different metrics, the website was able to determine which states experienced stress more than others. According to WFAA, the rankings were based on data sets that ranged from average hours worked per week to the personal bankruptcy rate to the share of adults getting adequate sleep.

Based on these factors, the study ranked Texas as the ninth most stressed state. The Lone Star state made the top 10 thanks to their ranking as the second-highest work-related stress state and the fourth-highest in terms of family-related stress. Overall, the most stressed out state was Louisiana. At least now Texans have an excuse any time they are feeling overwhelmed with stress.
