Good news for everyone who drives a gas guzzler to and from work every day: you're paying less at the pump than everyone else in the country!
According to a new report from AAA, Texas has the cheapest gas in the country, with an average cost of $2.768 per gallon of regular, unleaded fuel. The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.13.
Per WFAA, drivers in El Paso pay the most for gasoline in Texas at $2.90, while residents of Laredo pay the least on average at about $2.49 per gallon.
Unfortunately, Dallas is one of the most expensive cities in Texas to fill up with an average of $2.77 per gallon. Fort Worth and Arlington are just behind them with residents paying $2.76.
