When Dallas man Theodore Shiells first met his rescue cat Oscar, he was injured, scavenging for food, and had a 50/50 chance of survival due to heartworm disease.
Now, he's a world record holder.
Shiells said, "Oscar is a very smart cat and likes learning tricks. About two years ago, he expanded his repertoire by jumping... horizontally, of course!"
In fact, Oscar is a Guinness World Record holder, setting the record for longest jump for a feline at 8 ft 5 in (2.58 m)!
Shiells says he trained Oscar for two years to help achieve his record-breaking jump, which he achieved in February.
