Next time you head to the store for your groceries, don't forget to pick up milk, some eggs, and also several rounds of ammunition.

American Rounds, a company based out of Richardson, has begun installing vending machines full of ammunition inside grocery stores around the country.  Unfortunately, none have yet to appear in Texas; the closest one to us is at a grocery store in Kingston, Oklahoma.

The first machine was installed at a store in Alabama in November 2023.  Now, American Rounds has machine at eight locations in four states, and CEO Grant Magers says requests are growing daily.

He told NBC DFW, "It's exploding. I mean, right now, we have over 200 stores that are waiting on machines."

Regarding any detractors, Magers says his machines force ID verification, which rarely happens when ammunition is bought online or off the shelf.

"It's the safest, most secure method of ammunition sales on the market, and it completely maintains the integrity of the Second Amendment," he said.  We don't store the consumer's data, we don't take their ID or their facial, it's not stored on any cloud."
