HEB hasn’t been in DFW for long, but already it’s starting to show benefits. A new study recently named HEB as the top grocery retailer in the United States. The Texas-based chain was able to dethrone Amazon, which had the top spot for the last two years.
Dunnhumby, a U.K.-based global consumer research company, recently unveiled the results of their sixth annual Retailer Preference Index. Their rankings look at grocery customer surveys and financial reports to rank the top-performing grocers nationally, according to My San Antonio. Based on the data, HEB was ranked as the top grocery retailer for 2023.
This is not the first time HEB was ranked number one, as it took the top spot back in 2020. However for the last two years, Amazon reigned supreme. Now that HEB is in DFW, it will be hard for them to lose the top spot.
