The 2022 World Cup is only a few days away, and with the US Men’s National Team back in action, many throughout the country are starting to show their support. One way the players have been shown some love in their hometowns is with billboards for each player with a “handwritten note” from beloved TV soccer coach, Ted Lasso. Here in North Texas, three billboards have popped up in support of the three USMNT players with DFW ties, along with murals for some of the players as well.

DFW is officially in the world cup spirit, as three billboards across the metroplex have popped up, showing support for Jesus Ferreira, Weston McKennie and Kellyn Acosta. The billboards with personal message from “Ted Lasso” are located on the north side of Highway 380 in Little Elm, on Cedar Springs Road and Routh Street and at 3700 Hogge Drive in Parker, Texas.

According to WFAA, there are also two new murals featuring McKennie and Ferreira in Southwest Dallas. The 2022 World Cup begins on Sunday and will go until December 18. Hopefully the DFW players feel the love while playing in Qatar.
