Summer is winding down, the kids are heading back to school, but there still might be some time to sneak in a last-minute vacation.
If you want to head down to the beach though, researchers want you to be on the lookout for some creatures they are calling "our worst nightmare."
Jace Tunnell of the Harte Research Institute identified these creatures as "bearded fireworms," named so due to the pain they inflect on anyone who comes into contact with them.
He said that if stung, "it literally feels like fire for about three hours."
According to MySA.com, a person's skin can feel sensitive on the sting site for "weeks," depending on where it occurred.
