Most people try to avoid bees at all cost, but for one Texas man; he has made bees his life. Now, his life’s work is finally paying off, as his job will now be turned into a reality TV series. It was recently announced that beekeeper and bee removal specialist Charlie Agar of New Braunfels will star in a new PBS reality series, ‘Charlie Bee Company.’

There are plenty of reality shows about careers no one wants, and now PBS is adding yet another to the list. ‘Charlie Bee Company’ recently premiered on KLRU, Austin’s PBS affiliate, and this spring the show will go nationwide on PBS. “People are just now beginning to understand how important bees are to the ecosystem, and I’m so excited to share my love for all things bees and beekeeping. We had an absolute blast making this show,” said Agar.
