Super groups are usually something music fans are forced to dream up on their own. However, every once in a while a group of beloved musicians will get together to jam; almost always creating magic along the way. Now, the latest trio of iconic musicians to team up have done just that, as guitarist Tom Morello recently shared a cover of AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’ he recorded along with Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder.
The new AC/DC cover comes from Tom Morello’s upcoming solo album, ‘The Atlas Underground Fire.’ Morello recruited a number of musicians to join him on the album, including; Chris Stapleton, Damian Marley, Bring Me the Horizon, Phantogram, Mike Posner, and more. However, the biggest names join the Rage Against the Machine guitarist on the first single from the album, a cover ‘Highway to Hell.’
“One of the greatest rock & roll songs of all time sung by two of the greatest rock & roll singers of all time. And then I drop a shredding guitar solo. Thank you and good night,” said Morello. According to Rolling Stone, Morello’s upcoming album is due out October 15. Hopefully this trio will be back to record more music together in the future.
