At a recent town hall meeting, the University of Texas at Arlington unveiled some big plans for a campus upgrade, including new residential halls, academic buildings, and a new “boutique hotel” placed right on campus.
According to the Arlington Report, the hotel would be attached to a new hospitality management building that would “give the university an opportunity to bring in cash while giving students in the program hands-on experience.”
John Hall, the university’s vice president for administration and economic development, said that the school plan hopes to “prepare the institute for future students while integrating the campus into the larger landscape of downtown Arlington.”
