It looks like Dave Grohl’s oldest daughter, Violet Grohl, has been hard at work preparing her debut album, after being gifted studio time by her dad for her 18th birthday.

Violet Grohl has already become well known to her dad Dave’s followers through his Hannukkah Sessions, featuring on Foo Fighters' 2023 But Here We Are album track track "Show Me How," and taking the stage in front of thousands with the band as a back-up singer over the past few years. She even performed a few solo songs at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts in London and Los Angeles.

Her most recent on-stage appearances have been at West Hollywood’s Sun Rose, where she's known to sneak David Bowie, Nirvana, and Foos covers into her sets on occasion.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Violet has been “incredibly committed” to the studio time she received, and has been working on material for a full album with producer Justin Raisen, known for his work with Charli XCX, Sky Ferreira, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, and more. “She’s a true torch singer,” a source says. “Her vocals are tremendous. She’s very talented.”
