The family-friendly Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride will be one of the longest fully-enclosed coasters in the world when it opens in the summer of 2022.

Glenn Close will reprise her role as Nova Prime, the leader of Xandar, for the ride. She will also appear in the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion at the park's upcoming World Discovery neighborhood.

The ride will be located in the park’s newly renamed World Discovery neighborhood and, according to a press release, will "be the first 'other-world' showcase pavilion at EPCOT. Xandarians traveled from their homeworld in the Andromeda galaxy to Earth – or Terra, as they call it – to build this Wonders of Xandar pavilion, inviting EPCOT guests to learn more about their people and their advanced technologies. Until the Guardians arrive, anyway, and adventure ensues."

This comes on the heels of other recent Epcot news, like the September opening of the Space 220 Restaurant at Epcot’s Spaceship Earth.

You can get your first look at the Xander gallery and learn more about the upcoming coaster at the Disney Parks Blog.

The D23 Expo is the largest Disney fan event in the world. It's a massive fair with panel discussions, Cosplay, shopping, and performances that track through the whole Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel universes.

Tickets for the event Expo are on sale January 20, 2022.
