“And then he will carry me away to his castle, where we will live happily ever after.”
In the upcoming remake of Disney’s “Snow White,” Rachel Zegler has been officially cast as the classic fairytale princess.

According to Variety, she is currently making her debut as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story,” which is expected to premiere later in 2021. Zegler will also appear in the superhero sequel to “Shazam.”
Shortly after the announcement was officially made, Zelger took to social media to express her excitement.
Zegler tweeted, “I HAVE MANIFESTED MY ENTIRE LIFE I THINK I THINK.” She also shared a video meeting the Disney princess with the caption, “homegirl we have LOTS to catch up on.”
Marc Webb, who has worked on “500 Days of Summer” and “The Amazing Spider-Man” films with Andrew Garfield, is directing the movie. In 2022, production on the film that is not titled is expected to start.
“Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale,” Webb said in a statement.
Since 2016, Disney has been preparing for its live-action version of “Snow White.” Reports have confirmed that Marc Platt is serving as a producer, with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the songwriting duo behind songs from “La La Land,” “The Greatest Showman,” and “Dear Evan Hansen.” While original songs from the classic film, like “Heigh-Ho,” “Someday My Prince Will Come,” and “Whistle While You Work,” new tunes will be introduced to Disney fans.
