Dozens turned out this weekend to honor San Jose’s oldest living firefighter, who just celebrated his 101st birthday.
"Everything has radically changed from the day-to-day," Seibert said. "The equipment was different. The hoses were, I guess, the same, but the operations and function were totally different."
However, even with all that’s changed, San Jose Fire Museum President John McMillan said the traditions and values that Seibert has worked to pass on, remain timeless.
"He gives us advice all the time, solid advice on what we should and shouldn’t be doing," McMillan told KCBS Radio. "We rely on him, so we’re very lucky."
