A woman in Davis was killed Thursday apparently by her son who was subsequently shot fatally by police, authorities said.
According to officials, police responded to a domestic disturbance call to find a woman's body lying on the floor inside the home. A male suspect, thought to be her son, blocked officers from entering the home, police said.

December 19, 2019 The conflict with the man escalated, and officers fired their weapons, officials say. They shot and killed the man. One officer was injured, but not seriously.
Police had responded to calls at the same home before, and neighbors say the man had previously displayed troubling behavior. One recalled him walking through the streets, yelling and screaming at early hours of the morning.
