Marin County was added Friday to Governor Gavin Newsom’s list of California counties being closely monitored for an increase in coronavirus activity.
The Governor and the California Department of Public Health have ordered the counties that remain on the watchlist for three consecutive days or more to close select indoor activities that provide an opportunity for households to mix.
Once an industry sector is closed, the state will require it remain closed for the next 3 weeks.
“Now is the time for us to buckle down and be vigilant about adhering to key aspects of the shelter-in-place order,” said Doctor Lisa Santora, Marin County Deputy Public Health Officer.
Monterey County and San Diego County were also added to the list.
