A San Francisco nightclub has come up with a fun way to spice up all of that delivery food residents have been getting, and it has nothing to do with curry or cayenne.
Elsa Touche raced from home to home in a sequined rainbow gown and curly lavender wig as part of SF Oasis’ “Meals On Heels” traveling drag performances.
“Happy birthday darling, this is from your friend Jill,” said Touche, making a delivery to sisters Kim and Jessica Stewart. “Or maybe she’s your enemy, I don’t know, is this some kind of a punishment? It might be.”
But birthday girl Kim had no complaints. “This is so great. I love this. I love these… I think it’s an amazing idea and I think it’s the perfect place for it, San Francisco… it’s a lot better than normal food delivery, definitely.”
After the delivery Touche held a socially distant performance on the sidewalk for the sisters.
“I love being able to perform for people again,” she said, as nightclubs, bars and concerts in San Francisco have been shut down in the pandemic. “If this is helping them stay afloat, even better. Don’t tell Darcy, I’d do it for free.”
The Oasis queens make deliveries throughout the city on Friday and Saturday nights.
