
It was a picture perfect day on the Bay on Thursday, with the Oath of Allegiance taken by a couple of dozen people aboard the USS Hornet in Alameda.
The 24 new citizens came from 24 different countries like Cambodia, Canada, China, Greece and the Philippines.
When KCBS Radio’s Jim Taylor asked her how she felt, she said that it is a huge relief.
“The path to citizenship is not an easy one, so it’s a huge relief to have finally made it to today,” Clark added. “I certainly and sincerely wish that there’ll be compassion for all the people who are hoping to become Americans here at this point and all the immigrants who are hoping this will happen to them, too.”
