As the Kincade Fire spread across more of Sonoma County, authorities ordered the evacuation of additional wine country towns on Saturday.

Roughly 50,000 people were told to leave their homes in Geyserville, Healdsburg and Windsor.

It was a vast increase over the orders issued earlier this week that covered Geyserville and nearby communities. About 2,000 people were covered by those mandatory evacuations.

The Kincade Fire has grown to 25,455 acres, roughly 40 square miles of destruction. The fire has wrecked 21 homes and 28 other buildings.

Firefighters have it 10% contained. They hope to make more progress as the strong winds lose their force.

There have been no reports of injuries and no one is believed to be missing.
