The team of seven Democrats are acting as prosecutors in the third impeachment trial of a president. They began making their arguments Wednesday that Trump should be removed from office for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
The Democrats, led by Rep. Adam Schiff, could continue their opening statements on Friday. The defense for Trump will also have up to three days and 24 hours to present their opening arguments.
