While local San Francisco residents have been using Presidio Golf Course to visit and walk around on sunny days, the course is set to reopen on Monday to golfers.
The reopening will include some new rules to keep safety measures in effect as the coronavirus pandemic continues on.
Golf balls and carts will be sanitized. The clubhouse, cafe and golf shop will remain closed, for now.
"We're taking extra precautions and that's all we're concerned with at this point," Chelemedos said. "It's not really about us making a lot of money, it's about being safe and secure for both our staff and our customers."
The golf course and driving range were shut down when San Francisco instituted shelter-in-place orders.
The Presidio Trust had opened it up to the public to run, bike and walk.
