San Francisco Public Health has given an update on the number of cases of coronavirus.
As of Saturday, the total number of positive cases in San Francisco County stands at 1,137, with at least 20 deaths, reported SFDPH.
While the amount of cases went up by 79, no new fatalities were reported since yesterday.
In addition, San Mateo County reported 41 new cases, bringing their total to 838 confirmed cases, according to the San Francisco Gate. There have been 28 deaths due to coronavirus complications in San Mateo County.
Earlier this week, the Bay Area saw its largest single-day decrease in coronavirus hospitalizations. From Wednesday to Thursday, there was a 9/1% drop in COVID-19 patients that needed to be hospitalized.
There also hasn’t been a major increase in patients in intensive care units, with a range of 214 to 238 over the past five days, the outlet said.
As of Saturday, there have been over 29,000 cases of coronavirus in California, with at least 1057 deaths.
